Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Pipeline Project Manager
to lead and manage the execution of small lateral pipeline projects and medium-to-large meter stations. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of assigned projects—from scope development through design, procurement, construction, and closeout. This role involves direct responsibility for projects valued up to
$50 million , including coordination with associated facilities such as compressor stations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cross‑functional project leadership, permitting, compliance (FERC 7(c)), and stakeholder communication. The ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams is critical. Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of pipeline and meter station projects (scope, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout). Lead cross‑functional teams including engineering, right‑of‑way, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Serve as primary liaison between internal departments, external contractors, landowners, and permitting agencies. Ensure all projects comply with applicable regulations and standards (ASME B31.8, 49 CFR Part 192, FERC Plan and Procedures). Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and reporting. Develop, review, and manage engineering and construction contracts. Oversee quality, safety, environmental compliance, and risk management throughout project lifecycle. Travel up to 50% to job sites and meetings as required. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Civil preferred) Minimum
15 years
of experience in pipeline design, construction, or project management Demonstrated success as a Project Manager on FERC 7(c) pipeline projects Experience managing budgets and capital projects over $50 million Strong understanding of:
Cross‑country pipeline construction Meter and compressor station design ASME B31.8 and DOT 49 CFR Part 192
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain insurability Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% Preferred Qualifications
Experience representing operating companies or acting as an owner’s representative Experience supporting PHMSA audits and inspections Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) Master of Business Administration (MBA) Project experience involving:
Pipeline projects over 50 miles in length
