Position Overview
Supervisor responsible for coordinating warehouse operations, including ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials. Covers end‑to‑end warehousing and distribution logistics within Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review inbound appointment logs and open order reports to plan work activities.
Develop inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
Determine staffing needs; schedule and assign workers accordingly.
Update and communicate operational procedures to warehouse associates.
Track productivity and assess performance by individual and department.
Coordinate with Inventory Control to maintain high inventory accuracy.
Manage payroll for the department.
Provide guidance on handling, storage, and shipping of items and equipment.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare work procedures, schedules, and expedite workflow.
Issue written and oral instructions.
Ensure safety procedures are followed.
Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
Schedule
2nd shift, 3:30 pm – 12:00 am (Full‑time, on‑site)
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise 20+ employees in operations.
Conduct hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewarding, disciplining, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policy and laws.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED. One to three months related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
