Catering Sales Manager , you’ll bring that promise to life by driving catering and event revenue while creating seamless, memorable experiences across our
7,500+ square feet of flexible meeting and event space . You’ll work with two distinct Hyatt brands, collaborate closely with hotel operations and culinary teams, and manage events from first inquiry to final billing.
What You’ll Do
Generate catering, social, and group event business to maximize revenue
Build strong relationships with local, regional, and national clients and planners
Conduct site tours, client meetings, negotiations, and contract execution
Manage events from inquiry through execution and final billing
Create detailed event plans (BEOs) and coordinate with culinary, banquet, AV, and operations teams
Serve as the primary client contact during events, ensuring flawless execution
Track sales activity and performance against goals
Represent Hyatt House and The Mindaro with professionalism and care

What we are looking for
4 years of catering sales, event sales, or hotel sales experience preferred
Experience in a full-service, lifestyle, or dual-branded hotel environment strongly preferred
Experience in the local Portland market strongly preferred
Proven success in proactive sales, relationship building, and event servicing
Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, based on event needs
Proficiency in Hyatt sales and catering systems (Delphi, Opera, Amadeus, or similar) preferred
