Senior Safety Specialist
to provide support for either the 737 or 777 production system as a Team Lead in
Everett, WA . As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance, providing influence and decision making throughout the program. This role requires competencies in leadership, adaptability, and the capability to build positive working relationships with multiple functions. To support our business organizations, you will need to have excellent oral and written communication skills and maintain a high level of customer focus. This position requires the ability to make good timely decisions, ability to initiate and follow through on actions, and the ability to manage complex projects. Position Responsibilities
Plans, implements, and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment Proactively identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and develop mitigation strategies for commissioning activities Develops and leads training and instructions Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) 5+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.) 5+ years of experience managing projects Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification Leading a team formally or informally Drug Free Workplace
