Job Description The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for temporary/on-call Retail Associates in our Campus Dining department. The UOES Division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.

Temporary/On-Call Retail Associate The Temporary Retail Associate will be cross‑trained in several retail locations (such as Starbucks, Chick‑fil‑A, The Huddle Convenience Store, Modern Market, Street Fare, and Hagerty Cafe). This position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service for our guests while ensuring a clean, fast and friendly multi‑unit environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist guests and exceed expectations while working at a fast‑paced dining establishment

Assist with preparation of food as needed

Stock and rotation of food inventories

Operate order and point of sale equipment

Accurately follow the brand standards

Wash dishes, and maintain a clean unit

Perform all tasks relating to retail, safety and sanitation of food service facilities

Qualifications

Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision

Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills

Previous food service experience is preferred

Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)

Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food products

Additional Information Pay Rate:

$17.50/hr
