As a Teller Trainee at Rockland Trust, you are at the heart of our branches and the frontline of customer service, proactively exploring customer needs and offering personalized advice that serves to develop and maintain relationships. What You’ll Do
Make the first impression to our customers as they enter the branch by warmly greeting them and guiding them to the colleague who can best support their needs.
Engage in constant customer support, exhibiting efficient, effective, and courteous customer service in person and via telephone.
Serve customers by providing information on Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their individual needs.
Ensure that customers feel cared for while performing duties that require a high level of accuracy, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checks, and other financial transactions.
Make decisions alongside an immediate supervisor, which may become more extensive as the position gains knowledge and experience.
Work closely with our training team and branch team to learn about these responsibilities and to complete Rockland Trust’s Teller Training.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals.
Sales and service‑oriented personality.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members.
Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate.
Ability to successfully complete our training program.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Candidates should have 1–2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills.
