We Are Hiring:
Surgical Assistant- OMH- Pool/As Needed
At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, and OB/GYN in our 8 operating rooms.
As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence, the majority of our cases are within the orthopedic service line. Our largest case volume includes same day discharge procedures for total joints.
Schedule:
0630-1500/1700 as needed, help with on call shifts (department has both overnight weekday and weekend call) Pool requirement is 48 hours every 6 weeks

What You Will Do: The SA provides immediate support to the surgeon/physician during the performance of surgical procedures. The SA understands human anatomy; has developed surgical skill such as exposure, hemostasis, anatomical identification, wound closure and proper positioning of the patient for the procedure. The SA must have knowledge of the surgical procedure and ability to anticipate needs of the surgeon. The SA has a working knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique, peri-operative policies and procedural guidelines. The SA will work with the operating room RN to ensure the OR is safe, equipment is functioning properly and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
What You Will Need:
Graduate of a Surgical Tech program
Graduate of an accredited NBSTSA/CSFA program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
