Shift & Work Hours We are a 24/7 extrusion operation. There are 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑3‑2 that typically rotates days to nights every 6 months, also a 9‑hour, 5‑day per week shift to cover the 24‑hour operation. Depending on the needs of the business you may be asked to work any of these shifts as well as overtime.
Job Responsibilities
Possess the skill and ability to perform all basic mechanical and electrical duties required.
Cover all emergency breakdowns and repairs in a timely manner.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program.
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical systems, including motors, sensors, and control systems.
Conduct routine inspections and testing of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in compliance with company protocols.
Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Ability to complete routine assignments without direct supervision.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required / Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles and systems.
Hands‑on experience with basic tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and basic programming knowledge.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
Understanding of motor control systems and circuit design.
Basic knowledge of automation technologies.
Soft Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
Compensation The base pay range for this position is $27.00 to $35.00 per hour. This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
