Revenue Cycle Specialist - 13 Week 1099 Contract
Monogram Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to support the Finance team out of our Brentwood, TN Headquarters. The role will report directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform eligibility and benefits verification
Perform data and charge entry
Research and resolve rejections and billing claim edits
Release held claims for credentialing
Work an aging report, perform claim status with payer
Resolve, dispute and appeal denials or underpayments
Collect payment from patient and accurately record in the system
Accurately process, resolve or disperse correspondence
Investigate and resolve credit balances
Properly notate patient accounts
Assist with EDI, EFT and ERA payer enrollments
Assist with testing, implementation, and review of new processes
Special projects as assigned
Position Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical billing office setting
Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, HCPC, and Modifier codes
In-depth knowledge of insurance billing guidelines and industry best practices
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Organization, time management and the ability to prioritize
Experience with Athena software strongly desired
Strong and professional communication skills including writing, speaking and active listening.
Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills including interpersonal conversation, patience, and empathy.
Work independently and collaborate well with others.
