Responsibilities
Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients.
Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
Provide parent/family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
Adhere to guidelines for patients on special status (e.g., suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
Provide accurate shift-to-shift report and remain on the unit while the incoming shift is in report.
Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
Display professional boundaries in relationships with patients at all times.
Complete and file all documentation as required in a timely manner.
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support (BLS Certification) – Various issuers preferred.
Nursing Assistant (LNA – New Hampshire) – New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred.
Experience Related experience 0‑1 year preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Work well collaboratively and independently.
Operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Manage multiple, competing priorities successfully.
Basic computer skills.
Work effectively with patients, other members of the Health Care Team, facility personnel, and families/supportive others.
Give full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Successful completion of CPI training required within 30 days of hire.
