Overview
MissionVet Specialty & Emergency (MVS) in San Antonio, TX is seeking four full-time ER Veterinary Technicians to join our dynamic and growing hospital.
Compensation
$20 - $23 per hour, depending on experience
$3 hourly overnight differential
$1 hourly weekend differential
Schedule
Full Time
2 shift times available
11:00am – 11:00pm (days TBD)
1:00pm – 1:00am (days TBD)
Weekend rotations may be necessary to fulfill business needs in the future
Key Responsibilities
Experience or familiarity with emergency care, including advanced ICU monitoring, CRI calculations, and fluid rate management
Assess and stabilize critically ill patients while working closely with the veterinary team
Administer medications and treatments under the direction of experienced veterinarians
Provide compassionate support to concerned pet owners and keep them informed about their pets' condition
Ensure accurate and detailed medical record-keeping
Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional patient care
Who We’re Looking For
Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Skilled Technicians with at least two years of experience
Prior experience in Emergency and Critical Care is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent English speaking & reading skills required; fluency in multiple languages a plus
Ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations
A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being
