Overview Livingston Place Assisted Living is committed to providing affordable, personalized care to aging and disabled residents of Washington, DC. The community is managed by Calvary Street Management, a subsidiary of Gilbane Development Company.

Livingston Place Assisted Living is currently seeking compassionate, professional, and experienced full-time or part-time Personal Care Aides to join our team. In this role, Personal Care Aides are responsible for delivering high-quality care and support, ensuring each resident’s comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. Ideal candidates demonstrate kindness, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Current Opening Shifts Day Shifts (7 A - 3:30 P) Evening Shifts (3:30 P - 11 P) Overnight Shifts (11 P - 7:30 A)

Responsibilities Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist with all of the care needs a resident might require.

Maintain confidentiality of resident and fellow employee’s information.

Notify the nurse on duty, Director of Nursing, or Executive Director of resident changes of condition.

Assist in the dining room during meal times including, but not limited to, set up, take meal/beverage orders, serve, bus tables.

Assist with activities when required and/or be responsible for getting the residents to scheduled activities.

Responsible for getting residents ready and to the lobby for scheduled appointments.

Will be aware of what constitutes a change of condition and report to Licensed Nurse, Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing immediately.

Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights.

Capable of assisting in-care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 pounds.

Keep current on First Aid/CPR.

Attend and participate in the scheduled mandatory in-services and other scheduled meetings.

Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or any other management staff.

Qualifications Experience & Education

Valid DC Certified Nursing Assistant license or DC Home Health Aide certificate.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

2+ years of previous experience required.

Valid First Aid/CPR certifications; training provided.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.

Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Proficient in the English language.

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Washington, DC this ranges from $43,680.00-$47,840.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
