Job Summary
TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Nurse for its Weekend Call Team. The position includes weekend on‑call coverage from Saturday 7 am to Monday 7 am with guaranteed pay for 40 hours, a 1–12 hour weekday shift as scheduled, and a $20,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified RN candidates.

Responsibilities
Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
Provide patient and family education about procedures and the peri‑operative process.
Prepare patients, including intravenous therapy, pre‑operative medications, and surgical site verification.
Participate in surgical site verification: briefing, time‑out, debriefing, and universal protocols per hospital policy.
Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while applying evidence‑based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team (providers, surgeons, surgical technologists, etc.).
Apply nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to provide safe nursing care independently.
Monitor and document patient condition throughout the shift, noting changes and interventions.
Educate patients and families/caregivers on medical condition, treatment and follow‑up measures.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience as an OR Circulator is required.
