Special Operations Operational Psychologist – Part Time (SWCS, Fort Liberty, NC) KBR, Inc. is a company of innovators, thinkers, creators, explorers, volunteers, and dreamers. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise, consultation, and direct support in assessment and selection of personnel, operational support, individual/team/organizational assessment, performance enhancement, executive coaching, leadership development, research, and advanced training for SOF.

Conduct, administer, and interpret a full spectrum of psychological assessment measures; consult with command personnel and manage related process improvement, program validation, and research.

Conduct baseline and post‑event neuropsychological screening, collect and analyze data, and monitor psychological health trends.

Manage referrals and disposition of referrals for behavioral health care.

Provide professional development and education to leadership and SOF personnel as requested.

Provide crisis response and follow‑up care for unit casualties or serious incidents.

Support assessment and selection of incoming personnel and provide feedback to unit leadership on suitability.

Implement relevant process improvements, program validations, and related research.

Demonstrate mastery of psychological assessment, behavioral health, research, and familiarity with operational and industrial‑organizational psychology literature.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

DoD TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one.

Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association accredited institution and completion of an APA‑accredited internship or residency.

Minimum of two years peer‑reviewable, post‑doctoral experience in operational psychology, preferably in a DoD or intelligence community setting.

Meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service‑specific credentialing instructions and maintain credentialing in good standing at a local MTF.

Current, full, active, and unrestricted state license to practice as a psychologist.

Experience and training in assessment and treatment of alcohol/substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, PTSD, mood/anxiety disorders, and family/marital issues.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and annual documentation for credentialing.

Computer literacy for psychological testing, word processing, databases, and report generation.

Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

One year of performance enhancement or executive coaching experience or completion of USASOC Operational Psychology in Personnel Selection or similar coursework.

Training in critical incident/stress trauma interventions.

Capability to meet physical demands of selection and training events, including rugged terrain, irregular hours, and austere environments.

SERE orientation and/or certification or willingness to obtain it.

Desired Education or Experience

Experience working with physicians providing medical psychological services.
