The City of Saint Charles Parks and Recreation Department is recruiting for a seasonal/part‑time Parks Equipment Technician. The position is part‑time and is not scheduled to work more than 1,499 hours per year.
Responsibilities
Serve as part‑time support for the Parks Mechanic.
Provide light services to park vehicles and equipment, including pickup trucks, law‑enforcement vehicles, diesel and propane mowers, two‑cycle engines, motorcycles and trash trucks.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance and assist the Parks Mechanic with ongoing repairs and needed maintenance to keep equipment functioning and safe.
Qualifications
Must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license by the date of hire.
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Ability to work flexible hours as a temporary seasonal or part‑time role.
