Overview We are seeking reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to support a long-term project in Des Moines. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient job site while assisting skilled tradespeople throughout daily construction activities. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors at a construction site, utilizing hand and power tools, and performing physically demanding tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by removing debris and sweeping work areas
Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment as directed
Place, remove, and reposition concrete curing blankets to support proper concrete finishing
Operate basic hand tools such as hammers, shovels, brooms, and levels
Use basic power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and impact drivers safely
Assist carpenters, concrete finishers, and equipment operators with routine tasks
Set up and break down temporary structures, barricades, and work zones
Support material staging and inventory by organizing supplies and returning tools to proper locations
Perform additional labor duties as needed to keep the project moving efficiently
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Construction General labor experience
Familiarity with construction tasks and environments
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Ability to perform concrete and framing
Must Have
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Steel-toe boots
Hard hat with harness and lanyard

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.36 - $29.36/hr.
