Cares and treats all patients with respiratory and cardiac illness. Works assigned schedule. Responsibilities

Set up and operate a variety of respiratory care equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases and illnesses. This includes working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations. Operate Hamilton ventilators, Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) systems, and HiFlow devices. Utilize Epic as the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Perform 12-lead EKGs after hours and on weekends using MAC 15 carts. Attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries. Respond to all Code Blue, Rapid Response, Trauma, and Code Stroke calls. Participate in ground transports with intubated patients, as needed. Core staffing consists of two therapists available 24/7/365. Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing or walking are required. Frequent pushing, pulling, or moving of equipment. Regularly lift heavy supplies weighing up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions

Exposure to infections and contagious diseases is possible. Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Potential exposure to hazardous anesthetic agents, body fluids, and waste. Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Current, unencumbered Oregon State Respiratory Care License. Minimum of an associate degree from a respiratory therapy education program supported or accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Current BLS, PALS, NRP and ACLS required at time of hire or completed within 90 days of hire. Ability to work with culturally diverse population. Two years of clinical experience including all ages of patients preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
