Job Description
Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses and needs.
Assess patients' conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and address any complications.
Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy.
Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance.
Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to meet clinical and professional standards.
Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to enhance their skills and career progression.
Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive work environment.
Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying improvement areas, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands‑on training and fostering professional development.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to maintain high standards of patient services and safety.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required) or Bachelor’s of Nursing
Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) – EV Accredited
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR Cert – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement
Certified Medical‑Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) – Accredited
Certified RN Infusion (CRNI) – EV Accredited
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) – EV Accredited
Other specialty certifications as listed (e.g., Chemotherapy Certificate, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, etc.)
Pay Range $38.54 – $71.69 per hour
