Transportation Clerk/ Material Handler
– Warehouse Services, Inc.
Weekend Shift:
Friday-Sunday 5:00am-6:30pm – $19.00/hr (+$3.00 weekend shift premium)
Under general supervision, performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, to receive, inspect, store and ship material, including receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions as to how to perform required tasks and results expected. Duties require manual, clerical, and data entry skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interface with carriers and customer service to address questions, concerns and needs
Act as back-up for Outbound Transportation Clerk and UPS clerk as needed
Answer telephone calls in courteous and professional manner
Gather information and prepare truck load report daily
Assist with order processing
Prepare government orders, including printing the appropriate tire labels and appropriate government forms
Run the appropriate closing reports daily
Maintain inventory levels of all office supplies
Serves as a back-up for daily productivity reports

Required Qualifications
Forklift certified or able to obtain certification
Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
Minimum of 2 years of recent transportation clerk experience in logistics
