UF Health Leesburg Hospital offers a 48‑bed, state‑of‑the‑art emergency center, with trauma‑sized rooms, triage areas, rapid‑response lab services, and digital imaging. More than 35,000 people are treated yearly by our highly trained ER staff.
The UF Health Shands Comprehensive Stroke Center is certified by The Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association/American Heart Association, providing state‑of‑the‑art infrastructure, experienced staff, and extensive training for complex stroke care.
Responsibilities Under the direction of the unit director, the RN is responsible for patient care and safety. This role rotates between the ED and Stroke Unit, with a primary focus on stroke patient alerts, data collection, and documentation.
Qualifications Education:
Diploma/Associate's degree in nursing or higher
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Florida Registered Nurse License
BLS
ACLS
Special skills / Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the ED or Neuro ICU
Stroke Certified Registered Nurses (SCRN) preferred
Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
