Interim HealthCare Staffing is looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Huger, SC.

PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) – 20‑30+ hours weekly, weekdays only As part of our team, you’ll use your expertise to enhance motor skills, cognitive function, and adaptive strategies, empowering clients to thrive at home, at work, and in their communities.
Responsibilities
Clinic coverage and in‑home visits/assessments; IDT participation.
Conduct assessments to evaluate participants’ functional abilities, home environment, and rehabilitation needs.
Recommend and coordinate adaptive equipment, home modifications, and therapy services to promote safety and independence.
Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans based on participant progress and IDT collaboration.
Deliver OT interventions across settings including the clinic, participants’ homes, and contracted facilities.
Educate participants and caregivers on equipment use, home safety strategies, and ADL programs.
Maintain timely, accurate documentation of assessments, treatment, and participant progress per regulatory and organizational standards.
Actively participate in daily IDT meetings, contributing to comprehensive care planning and 24‑hour care coordination.
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), including review of care plans, co‑signing documentation, and providing ongoing mentorship.
Train staff in safe OT practices and equipment use to enhance participant care.
Support quality improvement, utilization review, and compliance initiatives.
Perform other IDT duties as needed within scope of practice and competencies.
Maintain current licensure, certifications, and ongoing professional development.
Adhere to PHI confidentiality guidelines and organizational security protocols.

Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy program that meets AOTA educational and fieldwork requirements.
Successful completion of the national exam for OTR and valid South Carolina license.
Preferred: 2+ years OT experience in various settings.
Experience with geriatric/frail population.Long‑term commitment potential.
Availability for at least three 8‑hour days Monday‑Friday (preferred).
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across all clinical and non‑clinical staff levels.
Proven ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Physically capable of assisting patients with mobility tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, and repositioning in bed.
Competent in reading and interpreting technical instructions related to patient care plans and procedures.
Skilled in observing and assessing patients through visual and auditory cues.
Adaptable and resilient in managing frequent changes in patient needs and care settings.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Current CPR/BLS certification required.
Pass drug screening and background check.
Up‑to‑date required immunizations (TDaP, MMR, Varicella, Flu) and good health statement.
Must meet all applicable health and physical requirements necessary to safely provide patient care.
