Responsibilities The Backup Receiver is responsible for all functions and paperwork related to receiving products.
This position operates machinery including baler, compactor, and forklift in a safe and proper manner, maximizes sales potential through effective procedures, and maintains the cleanliness of the receiving area.
The role reports receiving discrepancies to managers and buyers, verifies accuracy of contents, invoices, and orders, attends required training, and complies with Weights & Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Dependable and reliable with flexibility to work a changing schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Report any receiving discrepancies to managers and buyers, verify accuracy of contents, invoices, and orders.
Attend all applicable training and be certified in the use of equipment required for the store.
Communicate effectively with team members and store leadership.
Move or transfer product weighing up to 60 lbs. over 30 feet without mechanical assistance.
Use a pallet jack to transfer product weighing up to 1,000 lbs. over 150 feet.
Ability to review invoices, perform basic math operations, and multitask.
Other duties as needed.
