Overview Works under the general supervision of the team leader/supervisor/manager and/or the department director. Is responsible for the daily movement and proper disposal of the waste streams throughout the hospital. Performs all other duties as assigned.
What You Will Do
Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors consistently. Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/patients by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience.
Conducts inspections in area of responsibility daily ensuring assigned tasks are completed and quality/infection control measures are met consistently with appropriate documentation forwarded to department leadership.
Demonstrates respect, concern and empathy for the diverse needs of patients, customers and co-workers.
Demonstrates the ability to organize the work of self and other team members.
Maintains a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, state and regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff. Follows guidelines for proper body mechanics, hazardous materials handling and universal precautions to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintains a safe work area.
Qualifications Preferred: 1-3 years prior housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of regulations, policies, procedures and accreditation standards.
