Job Overview We are seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for Monmouth Medical Center. As part of RWJ Barnabas Health, MMC is a leader in delivering compassionate, high‑quality patient care and academic medicine. Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) required.
Preferred:
Completion of a nursing assistant, certified nursing assistant, patient care assistant, emergency medical technician, health‑care technician, or similar clinical care program. Previous clinical experience as an NA, CNA, PCA, EMT, or nursing/medical student preferred. Excellent communication and medical terminology knowledge. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Scheduling Requirements
Day Shift, 36 hours per week, 7:00–7:30 p.m.
Essential Functions
The Clinical Care Tech functions as a member of the health‑care team and performs selected patient‑care activities under the direction of the registered nurse, providing critical unit support and administrative functions as directed.
Provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients in the assigned service line.
Ensure safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical actions.
Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient care.
Participate in the collaboration of the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transition.
Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments, damaged floors/walls, unsecured areas, and medical errors.
