We are seeking qualified
Behavior Interventionists (BIIs)
to provide
one-to-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) support
to
K–12 students
within school-based settings in Palos Verdes, CA. BIIs will work directly with students who present with challenging behaviors and support the implementation of behavior intervention plans aligned with each student’s
Individualized Education Program (IEP) .
This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to supporting student growth across academic, behavioral, and functional domains.
Some student assignments
require hands‑on support with toileting . Candidates
must be willing and able
to assist with toileting and personal care as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one ABA-based instruction and behavior support to students in K–12 settings
Implement behavior intervention programs under the direction of credentialed school staff
Support students across all educational environments, including general education classrooms, special education settings, and community‑based instruction
Assist with behavior management, curriculum modifications, and instructional support
Collect, record, and document behavioral data in accordance with IEP goals and ABA methodology
Provide physical assistance, including toileting, while demonstrating patience, professionalism, sensitivity, and a positive attitude
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and related service providers
Follow all safety procedures, district policies, and confidentiality requirements
Perform related duties as assigned
Caseload Information
Students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade
Possible placements include:
Elementary School
Middle School
High School
Core Hours (Varies by Placement) Elementary School
Monday: 8:15 AM – 1:30 PM
Tuesday–Friday: 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM
Middle School
Monday: 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM
Tuesday–Friday: 8:15 AM – 3:00 PM
High School
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM
Qualifications Required
Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Completion of a 40‑hour ABA seminar or workshop training
Knowledge of child development principles, classroom behavior management strategies, accurate behavioral record keeping, safety precautions, and proficiency in spoken and written English
Willingness to provide toileting and personal care support
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field (Psychology, Education, Behavioral Sciences, etc.)
Compensation
Pay Rate: $27.50/hour
