Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology Unit at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA
Overview Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Unit.
Location Norfolk, VA
Shift and Hours Full Time, 36 hours per week. First (Days) shift.
Compensation Up to $15,000 Sign‑on bonus. Relocation available.
Responsibilities
Provide competent nursing care following the critical thinking model and the nursing process.
Monitor physical conditions, prescribe medication, and administer chemotherapy and other treatments.
Deliver care for radiation, stem cell transplants/CAR‑T, radioactive iodine, hospice, and symptom management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate education, health promotion, and evaluation.
Qualifications
Registered Nursing License (required).
BLS required within 90 days of hire.
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC), or Sentara approved Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.
None required for experience (Open to new graduates).
Education
Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
BSN or MSN preferred.
Students completing an accredited nursing program are welcome.
