Veterinary Student Externship
American Veterinary Group (AVG) invites third and fourth year students from an AVMA‑accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program to join its UrgentVet Hospitals as Veterinary Student Externs. The externship lasts for a 2‑week block at our Oro Valley facility, providing hands‑on learning under the direct supervision of veterinary staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient medical care.
Perform in‑house diagnostic tests (hematology, chemistry, radiology) with competence.
Conduct routine client education.
Assist in surgical procedures.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an AVMA‑accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program (3rd or 4th year).
Open mind and willingness to learn.
