Interventional Radiology APP (NP/PA) Lahey Hospital & Medical Center | Burlington, MA
Beverly Hospital | Beverly, MA
The Role Join the Interventional Radiology team at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center with primary workplace at Beverly Hospital. You will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care for complex conditions requiring endovascular or image‑guided interventions. This role covers the entire continuum of care: consultation, inpatient, outpatient, procedural, and post‑procedural settings.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Coordination:
Conduct initial evaluations and consultations for various interventional radiology procedures; perform history‑taking, physical exams, and monitor post‑procedure recovery; coordinate post‑procedure follow‑up care; partner with interventional radiologists, surgeons, internists, hospitalists, and critical care teams.
Procedural Support:
Lead patient education, informed consent, and coordination of labs/imaging; assist in procedural planning and intra‑procedural support (sedation assistance, sterile field prep). Specific procedures include vascular access (port placement, line placement), joint injections, image‑guided biopsies (thyroid and non‑focal liver), paracentesis, thoracocentesis, and tube checks.
Quality & Administration:
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR; participate in departmental QA/QI initiatives and morbidity & mortality reviews; contribute to clinical pathways and protocol development.
Candidate Qualifications Education & Certification
Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
Current state licensure (Massachusetts NP or PA‑C)
National board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
BLS and ACLS required
DEA registration (required or ability to obtain)
Experience & Skills
Prior experience in Interventional Radiology or Critical Care
Ability to interpret basic imaging studies and vascular anatomy
Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity setting
