Company Description
Busy dermatology practice in Spotswood, NJ is searching for a reliable Certified Medical Assistant with at least 2-year experience to perform various office, clinical duties to keep our Dermatology practice running efficiently. Our Medical Assistant will assist in surgical and basic examinations, maintain patient records and explain common medical procedures to patients.
Job Description
Recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical and surgical procedures and other patient care
Sterilizing and preparing instruments
Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Scribing notes for Practitioners
Front desk coverage includes answering phones and scheduling appointments
Other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, faxing, prior authorizations, patient results phone calls, lab and surgical paperwork
Qualifications
High level of professionalism
Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of electronic medical health care record systems
Excellent computer and phone skills
Experience
Minor surgical procedure experience
Job Type
Full-Time: 4-5 days
Ability to be flexible to cover as needed greatly appreciated.
Dermatology experience is a plus.
Experience in MOHS assistance is a plus.
Experience with and knowledge of EMR.
Experience in assisting with minor surgical procedures.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications/Licenses
Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
