Job Description Shift: Monday - Friday FT; must be available between 7 am–7 pm as schedule will vary – 40 hours a week.

Review appointment bookings in advance and ensure patients receive appointment reminders.

Ensure medical equipment is functioning properly, maintain adequate supplies, and ensure medications are not expired.

Respond to and return telephone calls related to clinical needs, triage appropriately, and assist with referrals as needed.

Complete logs for CLIA compliance and other regulatory requirements, and follow policies on cleaning and sterilization of instruments.

Assist with the completion of prior authorizations, workers’ compensation paperwork, and other administrative tasks.

Support staff teamwork, maintain confidentiality of patient information, and continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction.

Other duties as assigned.

Perform point‑of‑care tests, phlebotomy, and assist with various procedures such as ECGs, ear lavage, vaccines, and wound care.

Manage front‑office responsibilities, including appointment bookings, insurance verification, patient check‑in, and check‑out processes.

Complete chart preparation and abstraction activities prior to patient visits, ensuring all necessary lab, imaging, and referral information is available.

Room patients, conduct screenings, take medical histories, record vital signs, and perform medication reconciliation.

Prepare patients and examination rooms for physical assessments or procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.

Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary information, and administer prescribed medications and treatments.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or equivalent (Required)

Technical/Vocational School completion (Required)

Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS) – RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Technician in Surgery – Certified (NTSC) – EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range: $18.14 – $29.02
