Position Summary
The Nest provides all‑day dining as well as Kiawah apparel, grocery, beer, and wine. We are the one‑stop shop for almost anything a guest or resident may need. We provide casual, friendly service while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The retail attendant position, assisted by managers and supervisors, is to proficiently attend to guests’ needs with accurate and informative service. Operation of a point‑of‑sale system and responding to guests both in person and via telephone are integral to this position.
Pay Rate Compensation rates posted on external job boards are auto‑generated. Kiawah Island Golf Resort determines final compensation during the hiring process; this position is eligible for tips.
Qualifications
Minimum Education – Currently in school working toward graduation, have already received a high school diploma or GED
Minimum Experience – 6 months prior retail experience with a similar retail establishment preferred
For grocery delivery, must have a valid S.C. Driver’s License
Ability to complete monetary transactions correctly
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
Good to excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Employee must be able to make good decisions with confidential information regarding events and guests of Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Must be able to pass a background check
Expectations & Responsibilities

Must be able to stand for the entirety of a shift, bending, stretching, and lifting
Must be able to properly and effectively communicate with guests, in person and via phone
