Your New Role The newly formed Data Governance team within Enterprise Data Blueprint (EDB) is an exciting group created to transform us into a data-driven enterprise. We use data to drive business strategy, innovation, and improvements to solve business problems.

The Data Governance Sr. Analyst will work under the direction of both the Sr. Manager, Data Governance, and the Data Governance Specialist. The analyst will have visibility of the reporting within each Data Domain, and the aggregation of the reporting as it is passed up from the Data Domain Councils, and the Data Governance Board.

Responsibilities

Work with the Sr. Manager, Data Governance to identify and create training materials for the Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians across the organization.

Catalog critical data elements, business glossaries, and facilitate the development of the organization’s Data Standard.

In conjunction with the Data Governance Office (DGO), Data Owners, and Data Stewards, develop the Catalog by identifying critical data issues for action.

Help establish and enrich the DGO portal for communications and supporting documentation to the Data Domains, their councils, and to Data Users.

Maintain and enrich the Data Governance Confluence space with analysis, gathered requirements, and internal documentation.

Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, artifacts, and Jira board maintenance.

Generate reports for program metrics, data catalog, application catalog, and other areas.

Run the Monthly Data Governance cycle.

Support the Data Governance Specialist in creating material and distributing minutes for the Working Groups.

Assist in preparing and distributing the reporting pack for the Data Domain Councils and the Data Governance Board—scheduled and ad‑hoc.

Monitor and maintain ongoing data quality efforts.

Maintain Data Governance artifacts—decks, tickets, documents.

Respond to data issues and update the Issue Catalog and tickets to capture progress.

Qualifications & Experiences

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Experience in an agile environment with an understanding of the SDLC.

Ability to pivot based on priority.

Four or more years of data management experience.

Experience in data quality management.

Deep understanding of information and process integration–management.

Experience with data catalogs and/or inventories.

Experience with applications portfolio management.

Experience maintaining Confluence spaces and Jira boards, or other BPM software stacks.

Policy and standards drafting experience.

Understanding of data classifications.

Ability to implement change by mentoring, motivating others, driving consensus, and executing through others.

Strong organizational skills: managing several complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.

Hands‑on experience in data catalog technologies is a plus.
