Inside Sales Representative

Position Purpose
Under manager supervision, this position is responsible for incremental revenue through inbound and outbound sales calls. This includes lead campaigns and telephone prospecting targeting Small and Medium (SMB) existing customers and new prospects. Conducts business needs analysis and develops appropriate service solutions for the customer/prospect. Focuses sales activities on reoccurring, purge (one-time) services and other revenue generating activities. Determines customers' needs/requirements and negotiates an appropriate resolution by right sizing, price adjustments, and/or resolving service quality issues.
Key Job Activities
Makes outbound and receives inbound sales calls to sell products and/or services, acquiring new customers and converting existing customers through prospecting, outbound marketing/lead campaigns, and referrals.
Effectively qualifies clients using Value-Based selling methods, researching history and business needs to develop a complete service proposal while targeting upgrade and cross-sell opportunities of additional Stericycle products/services.
Responds to customer concerns and proactively contacts customers identified as "at risk" for cancelling services using approved sales tactics and strategies to retain potential lost business, uncover existing service issues, explain contract obligations, and provide alternative solutions.
Builds a pipeline of potential future business by prospecting via the Internet, assigned territory lists, outbound marketing/lead campaigns, and other sources, forecasting quarterly, monthly, and weekly sales metrics within 5% of actual results and reporting to SMB ComSol Sales Management.
Works with cross-functional team members to assist in providing satisfactory solutions from the customer perspective, retaining business, and leveraging communication to identify sales opportunities.
Uses Salesforce for lead follow-up, sales cycle disposition, pipeline management, forecasting, and lost opportunity tracking, keeping comprehensive and accurate notes.
Provides tracking data to the Inside Sales organization to develop policies and programs that drive sales, identifying trends and updating management.
Performs other miscellaneous and related duties as required or requested.
Education
Required: High School or Equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Experience (North America & LATAM)
1‑3 years of business‑to‑business or outside sales experience.
