270538Las Vegas, Nevada**The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International****THE JOB:**As the Assistant Manager of Din Tai Fung at ARIA, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of this globally celebrated, award-winning restaurant known for its authentic Taiwanese cuisine and iconic hand-made dumplings. You will set the standard for guest experience with your approachable leadership, welcoming demeanor, and attention to service detail. By understanding each guest’s unique story and needs, you will truly own their experience—ensuring every visit creates WOW memories they carry with them long after leaving. In this role, you will support operational excellence, team development, and the seamless execution of Din Tai Fung’s high-quality, world-renowned dining experience.
**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations* Supervise floor service in dining rooms during hours of operation* Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records* Maintain communication with the Chef on all food service and menu issues* Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guests and employees* Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing; prepare purchase requisitions for any outlets from the warehouse or support departments* Keep inventory form and stocking area updated* Inspect food coming from support departments to assure freshness and quality* Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required* Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays required* Must be 21 years of age or older* 2+ Years of prior relevant experience required* 3+ Years of prior relevant food and beverage experience to include supervisory/managerial experience preferred* Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred* Previous experience managing a large-scale team in a high-volume restaurant preferred* Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese preferred**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:**Are you ready to **JOIN THE SHOW**At MGM Resorts, we exist to entertain the human race and provide an unforgettable escape.
