Respire Homecare Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate

Respiratory Therapist - Liaison

to assess patient/client respiratory equipment needs and provide guidance, instruction, and troubleshooting for respiratory equipment and services. This position will play an integral role in ensuring patients receive the highest level of care and will be a key point of contact between patients, healthcare providers, and the company. Key Responsibilities

Patient & Equipment Needs Assessment : Evaluate patient/client needs and select the appropriate respiratory equipment and services to meet those needs. Patient and Family Involvement : Collaborate with patients, family members, and caregivers in the selection and setup of respiratory equipment. Instruction & Education : Provide clear instructions on the use and care of respiratory equipment to patients and their families. Communication with Physicians : Work closely with the patient’s physician to discuss changes in the patient's condition and adjust the treatment plan as necessary. Documentation & Plan of Care : Complete and maintain patient/client account paperwork, including the Plan of Care/Treatment, ensuring compliance with company policies. Liaison Role : Act as a liaison between the patient, physician, family, caregivers, and other healthcare staff. Educational Outreach : Participate in and conduct educational meetings and seminars for healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers. Troubleshooting & Emergency Assistance : Assist with emergency or immediate equipment issues and provide troubleshooting support. Preventive Maintenance : Assist in regular equipment checks, maintenance, and environmental assessments during home visits. Inventory Management : Monitor respiratory supply levels and place orders to maintain stock, as directed by senior warehouse staff. On-Call Responsibilities : Be available for on-call duties as per company policy during non-business hours. Product Knowledge : Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory products and services and educate others within the company. Professional Development : Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to maintain competency in respiratory care. Required Qualifications

Education : Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program. RCP/RRT certification preferred. Experience :

Two years of hospital-based respiratory care experience preferred. At least one year of home care experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities :

Strong knowledge of respiratory care equipment and procedures. Ability to supervise clinical personnel effectively. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Basic computer skills and proficiency in office software. Understanding of insurance requirements (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance). A people-centric attitude with a genuine desire to help others.

Position Details

Full-Time Position Typical Working Hours : 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday (subject to change based on business needs). On-Call : Required for emergency situations as per company policy. Why Respire Homecare Services?
