JOB SUMMARY: Provides the technical skills needed to support the daily operation of the assigned entertainment venue and/or event, including the operation and execution of entertainment shows. Ensures technical show quality and a positive guest experience by applying basic technical knowledge.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the daily operation of the technical elements within the assigned entertainment venue and/or event. Ensure successful operation of basic shows and/or presentations, including completion of pre-/post- show presets and resets.
Responsible for the careful execution of show elements/cues to preserve show quality. Maintaining the proper show timing and levels as directed by show direction and venue training.
Responsible for completing pre- and post-show presets, resets. Ensures proper completion of all technical documentation, to include daily checklists, FYI, and other such documentation.
Assist with the appropriate maintenance and inventory of venue equipment/supplies as assigned for proper operation, organization, and cleanliness.
Support and communicate with performers regarding their technical needs. Responds appropriately as needed, brining any unusual concerns to Technical and/or Venue Management or Tech I.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Technical school is preferred.
Associate degree (AA) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years’ experience using technical control systems, likely within the theme park/theater industry in a technical capacity preferred.
Proven ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Basic knowledge in technical disciplines needed to operate assigned venue.
Basic computer skills with basic experience in Microsoft Office suite
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
