Who we are looking for We are currently looking for a Quality Technician to be based out of Kokomo, Indiana, reporting to the Quality Supervisor. The role ensures quality parts are produced during the shift and non‑conforming parts are properly contained.
What you’ll do
Adhere to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules.
Apply 5S, lean sustainment, and problem‑solving principles.
Measure, inspect & document 1st piece and ongoing production quality.
Prevent non‑conformances from escaping by exercising proper containment activities.
Ensure adequate labelling of finished goods and properly identify suspect, rework, or defective product.
Meet customer packaging requirements.
Perform daily tasks on the production floor, including walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Follow all duties as instructed by supervision.
What you’ll bring
High school diploma required. Degree or technical degree preferred.
3+ years work‑related experience in quality inspections, measurement, and spec/print reading.
General understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control) is a plus.
Working knowledge of AS400 or JD Edwards a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge is a plus.
Quality inspection & measurement experience.
Ability to read customer specs/prints and distinguish acceptance criteria.
Ability to operate and read various measuring devices.
Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing).
Strong math skills: converting decimals to fractions, metric to standard, and basic geometry and algebra for product design.
Safety action‑oriented mindset.
Outgoing positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic.

Plan, organize, and support QA programs.
Achieve operational excellence, provide superior support to production, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Pay and Benefits As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $19.77–$23.49 per hour with a quarterly incentive target of 10%. Placement in the range depends on several factors and may change over time. Overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives may also be offered.
