The Robovision AI platform and Solutions enable successful AI initiatives by seamlessly orchestrating the process of creating, deploying and maintaining vision intelligence at scale. Built around the philosophy of operational independence, the Robovision platform empowers users to intuitively adapt vision intelligence inside smart solutions.

The team The agritech department of Robovision is a start-up within a scaleup. We build upon our platform to develop, deliver, and maintain vision AI software for hundreds of robots in the agriculture industry.

We are in a dual state of supporting our existing robotic solutions and creating new cutting edge projects together with our mechatronics partners. To remain efficient while working on multiple solutions in different life stages, we focus on a strong overall architecture that is shared by all solutions. The role We are looking for a motivated AI vision engineer for our AgTech team, to build the vision AI vision solutions of tomorrow. The solutions you will be working on range from plant sorting to automated robotic harvesting.

From idea to roll out, and across the lifecycle, the AI vision engineer will collaborate with his/her solution team as cross‑functional team member to ensure that the needs of the customers and users are well‑translated into the solution.

The role has the following aspects:

Experiment with the combination of camera technologies, machine learning algorithms and computer vision techniques to identify the most optimal technologies

Solution blueprint design, documentation, presentation and brainstorming

Iteratively develop and test software components – both in Python and C++

Integrate AI algorithms in software pipelines

Integrate software components to a functionally working system

Creation and maintenance of technical and functional software documentation.

Solution support

Provide 3rd line technical support for operational software solutions

Job Requirements Overall

Living and working in Belgium

A master degree in computer science, or related fields

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

You are flexible and can work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

You don’t mind taking short trips to partners, customers or test facilities (abroad)

Technical

You are curious and dedicated to learning new things

Proficient with Python; high‑performing programming languages such as C++ are a plus

Proven experience in computer vision solutions

Optional: knowledge of optical technology (cameras, lighting, …)

Optional: experience with data science, AI, industrial automation and/or computer vision is a plus.
