Job Description
** Job duties include, but are not limited to:**
This hybrid role supports both patient care and front-desk operations to provide a smooth, compassionate experience for clients and pets. Duties include animal restraint, patient triage, lab sample collection and analysis, diagnostic imaging assistance, medication administration, surgical and anesthesia support, and nursing care of hospitalized patients.
The role also includes greeting clients, answering phones and emails, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, processing payments, communicating treatment plans, and providing empathetic support during sensitive situations.
Must be comfortable in a clinical environment with exposure to odors, noise, animal waste, bites, scratches, and contagious diseases. Ongoing training and career development opportunities are provided.
Qualifications:
Positive, dependable team player with a strong work ethic and punctuality
Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience preferred (CVT/RVT/LVT a plus)
Veterinary receptionist or client-facing experience preferred
Weekend availability
Excellent customer service, communication, and multitasking skills
Compassionate, calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
Skilled in low-stress animal handling and restraint
Experience with lab sample collection/processing and radiographs (dental a plus)
Anesthesia and surgical monitoring experience preferred
Organized, computer-proficient, and eager to continue learning
Open to constructive feedback to support team efficiency
