We have been retained by a well-established, family-owned water filtration company manufacturing water filtration products for municipal and industrial clients. Their products and systems can be customized to meet customer specifications, and exceed performance criteria for surface waters, groundwater, water reuse, drinking water, wastewater treatment, industrial and minerals processes. They’re in immediate need of a Regional Sales Manager responsible for promoting and selling water treatment equipment and systems to municipalities and clients within a designated territory.
Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new capital treatment equipment business opportunities within municipal markets to expand customer base.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals in territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including water utility managers, engineers and procurement officials.
Serve as main point of contact for existing and prospective customers, addressing inquiries and providing expert guidance on products.
Manufacture Representative motivation, management and leadership.
Understand the specific needs and challenges of municipal water treatment facilities and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements based on clients’ offerings.
Collaborate with inside sales and engineering teams to develop customized proposals and designs.
Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations and technologies related to municipal water treatment.
Provide technical expertise and support to customers, offering insights into product capabilities and performance.
Conduct engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our clients’ water treatment solutions.
Address customer concerns/objectives effectively to close sales and win new business.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive proposals, including pricing, specifications, and terms.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity and customer feedback to identify opportunities.
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related fields preferred.
7+ years of proven record of success in B2B sales, preferably in water treatment or environmental services industry.
Deep understanding of municipal water treatment process, regulations, and infrastructure.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
History of successful management of business development, order pipeline, opportunity follow-up and closing skills in the municipal water treatment market.
Manufacturing representative management.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google capabilities.
Exposure to ERP systems for order and production tracking.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment systems, filtration equipment, or related industry standards a plus.
Compensation is a base salary of $100-$120k, plus uncapped commissions and full benefits.
