We are currently working with a large, well‑structured local authority in South Wales seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their MASH/Assessment Team. This is a pivotal frontline role at the point of referral, where your decisions shape the direction of intervention and support for vulnerable children and families.
Working in a Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), you’ll work closely with professionals from health, education, police, and early help services to gather information, make informed decisions, and ensure appropriate safeguarding responses. The team also covers initial assessments and short‑term interventions, with clear handovers to longer‑term teams when needed.

About You
Qualified Social Worker
Registered with Social Care Wales
Previous experience in a MASH, Duty or Assessment Team essential
Confident working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Strong assessment and analytical skills
Excellent understanding of safeguarding thresholds and statutory responsibilities
Able to work effectively with multi‑agency partners and under pressure
