Job Profile Summary Under limited supervision, this position provides direct service and support to prospective, current and former students from application through paid enrollment using a case management approach. It includes information regarding the College’s programs and services, admissions and registration, proof of residency, transcript evaluation, orientation, assessment of learning, facilitating student engagement in academic and career planning activities, student success skills, college policies and procedures, and student co‑ and extra‑cultural activities offered at the College.

Essential Functions

Daily – 25%: Support students from admission through first‑term paid enrollment, including academic and career planning assessments, academic planning, and clarifying goals. Familiar with 8 Pathways and associated college programs of study, and facilitate learning about college policies, success skills, and student life opportunities.

Daily – 25%: Collect, review, and assess applications and related documents for compliance and eligibility. Determine testing requirements, provide routine advice on application, admission policies, and document requirements. Respond to email/telephone inquiries. Setup, update, and continuously improve web‑based and electronic advising activities.

Daily – 15%: Support students with deadline compliance for FAFSA and required documents, including Next Generation application verification.

Daily – 10%: Assist the Associate Dean by leading assistance of daily functions to Admissions & Registration Specialists and Officers, and facilitate advising for students at New Student Orientation sessions.

Per Term – 10%: Schedule and monitor First Year Experience sessions and advising appointments, update student services materials and multimedia presentations. Conduct/facilitate group advising and registration sessions for new students.

Weekly – 10%: Review transcripts to ensure eligibility for admission, evaluate transfer credits, and collaborate with transcript evaluators for timely official transcript evaluation.

Other – 5%: Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

In‑depth functional knowledge in specialization and general knowledge of related areas.

Ability to perform complex administrative analysis with minimal supervision.

Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent coordination and communication skills to influence decision‑making at all levels.

Self‑management of workflow, priorities, and results accomplishment.

Ability to present and disseminate data and analysis to various levels.

Advanced knowledge of career pathways and all college programs of study.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and specialized computer systems.

Effective communication with employees and students.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Counseling or Education preferred.

Six years of relevant experience.

An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
