Maintenance Technician DAY SHIFT 2026 (Maintenance)
Position Maintenance Technician
Department Maintenance
Reports to Maintenance Supervisor
Purpose / Scope Responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the facility with adherence to the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs, and maintain operational ability of the facility. While working in a team environment with mechanics and trainees; will maintain the equipment while minimizing downtime and maintaining a professional appearance to the facility and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Work in and maintain a safe personal working environment as well as a safe working environment for others.
Troubleshoot and repair problems in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues and assist an electrician in troubleshooting and repair of major electrical issues.
Understand and adhere to both preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail.
Learn, grow, and work in a team environment on projects, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and assist others as needed.
Complete and maintain certification for HAZMAT, steam boiler safety, first responder, and first aid.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach lifts, spotter trucks, scissor lifts, and other powered equipment as needed. All training and certifications will be provided by the facility.
Maintain operational viability of the facility and all systems within.
Assist contractors and vendors to troubleshoot, install, remove, repair, and modify equipment in the facility as needed.
Maintain proper operation of all equipment in the facility.
Assist with mechanical duties as needed.
Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly checks are completed.
Ensure responsible area is neat, clean, and safe for operations.
Use required PPE and follow all safety guidelines of the Company.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: (Required / Desired)
High school diploma / GED.
3 years' prior general maintenance experience.
Knowledge of basic electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Basic welding and fabrication skills.
Excellent math skills
Good communication skills both written and oral.
Good computer skills.
Physical Requirements
Combination of Sit, Stand, and Walk.
Workable use of both arms and hands and able to grasp.
Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).
Able to perform repetitive task.
Able to reach, bend, climb, push, pull, and stoop.
Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Environmental Conditions
Environment is from dirty to clean, dry to wet, warm to cool depending on area of required duties on plant floor and outer areas as needed.
Sound levels on plant floor are moderate to loud depending on area of required duties on plant floor and outer areas as needed.
