Job Summary AM Shift Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM. This physically demanding, fast‑paced position involves hand‑building high‑quality upholstered furniture, meeting daily production goals, and maintaining strict quality standards.
Physical Demands / Work Environment Stand for up to 10 hours per day on hard surfaces with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching. Push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Grasp, pull, and tug with your hands on a routine, repetitive basis.
Job Responsibilities Upholster
Knock down all sharp corners of the frame.
Staple materials using a staple gun.
Insert tack strip and panels with a hammer.
Use a staple puller to retract improper staples.
Assemble components with air tools (drill, hog ring gun, hot glue gun, etc.).
Assemble furniture components according to upholstery notes.
Frame
Staple materials with a frame gun.
Apply glue and/or wax per specification.
Assemble components with air tools (drill, crimping gun, chisel, etc.).
Use a glue scraper for proper cleanup.
Cushion Process
Validate unit cover to ticket in each batch.
Coordinate workflow in the cell.
Insert stuffing materials into cover components.
Use machine to seal and quilt.
Staple materials with a staple gun.
Final Assembly
Assemble components into the completed unit.
Staple materials with a staple gun.
Use air tools (drill, tack gun, etc.) to assemble components.
Oil mechanisms as required by specification.
Scan ticket to show unit complete.
Packaging
Staple materials with a staple gun.
Assemble components with air tools (drill, frame gun, crimp gun, etc.).
Use banding and up‑ender equipment.
Secure packaging materials with a tape gun.
Apply ticket to the finished package in the proper location.
Move unit to alternate location as needed.
Job Requirements
Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties.
Basic reading and writing skills.
Completion of in‑house training curriculum.
Basic computer skills.
Strong coordination for routine, repetitive tasks.
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day with frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
Capacity to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Skilled use of hands for gripping, pulling, and tugging.
Supervisory Responsibilities None.

Weekly Hours 40
