Minimum 10 years of heavy construction equipment mechanic experience
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; technical school certificate or degree preferred
Valid NC Driver’s License
About the Role Greene Resources seeks a Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy equipment used in quarry, paving, and grading operations (e.g., crushers, conveyors, excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, pavers). Experience with truck- or on‑road fleet–focused mechanics will not be considered.
Job Responsibilities
Repair, maintain, and assemble diesel- and gasoline-powered heavy equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, brake jobs, tire replacements, and general mechanical repairs.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment malfunctions and plan repair procedures.
Complete service documentation, including labor time and parts used, in maintenance software.
Test‑drive equipment to verify repair quality and performance.
Assist with parts inventory, research technical information, and request needed components.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment following all safety regulations.
Position Requirements
Utilize diagnostic tools, manufacturer software, and maintenance systems.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, fluids, and filtration.
Intermediate understanding of equipment components, parts, tools, and operating concepts.
Prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
Valid NC driver’s license.
