Store employees maintain well‑stocked inventory, assist customers with product selection, and provide expert advice to enhance the shopping experience. They play a vital role in driving sales, maintaining store operations, and fostering a positive, knowledgeable retail environment.

Job Summary As a Delivery Driver at AutoZone, you’ll use safe driving skills, company‑provided vehicles—no Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required—to deliver automotive parts to commercial customers. Your work supports store operations and promotes the WOW! Customer Service culture.

Responsibilities

Customer Service Excellence & Communication – deliver WOW! service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, offering clear automotive advice and installation services.

Leadership & Teamwork – work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts to ensure smooth collaboration and strong customer relationships.

Metrics Mindedness & Process Orientation – maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.

Delivery Operations – drive company‑provided vehicles, safely and timely deliver automotive parts to commercial customers, load and unload parts accurately per route schedules.

Returns & Pickups – collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.

Safety Compliance – adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.

Cash & Charge Transactions – process customer payments securely in accordance with company policies.

Product Knowledge & Fleet Maintenance – stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems; maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

Valid Driver’s License & Safety Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet AutoZone’s driver safety requirements.

Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.

Preferred Qualities

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Exceptional Communication: Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.

Automotive Retail: Previous experience in automotive retail.

Hazmat Endorsement Preferred: A valid Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement is a plus.
