Job Description Branson Maternity provides family‑centered care in a friendly, supportive environment. Our staff work collaboratively, always willing to assist one another to ensure each patient and family receives the support they need throughout childbirth and postpartum care.
The Labor and Delivery/Women and Newborn nurse is responsible for:
Pre‑labor (antepartum), labor and delivery (intrapartum), and postpartum care for women and newborns.
Assisting, supporting, and educating families throughout the birth process and postpartum period.
Providing comprehensive, family‑centered nursing care to mothers and newborns during all stages.
Recognizing complications, stabilizing patients, and communicating effectively with families and physicians.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN‑approved program (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred).
Experience:
Preferred previous nursing experience.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, time‑management, critical thinking/problem‑solving, and flexibility for multitasking environments.
Licensure/Certification:
Active RN license in the State of Missouri; must obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of hire.
