QA Technician
Pay: $16.50/hour
Location: Owasso, Oklahoma
Hours: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–4:00 PM | OT as needed

Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to support food safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced production environment. The QA Technician plays a crucial role in monitoring processes, performing product testing, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that all procedures align with USDA, GMP, HACCP, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor production processes for compliance with USDA, GMP, HACCP, and company policies
Perform routine quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
Maintain updated records including quality logs, inspection reports, and food safety documentation
Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and audit requirements
Assist with preparation and submission of internal/external audit reports
Perform product testing: temperature checks, pH, moisture analysis, weight checks
Verify test results meet specifications; report deviations to FSQA Supervisor
Ensure products comply with all food safety regulations
Support the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality procedures
Stay informed on regulatory updates and industry standards
Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to maintain compliance
Provide feedback and support on food safety and quality practices
Communicate any quality or safety concerns promptly
Provide guidance on proper handling, storage, and processing of materials
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; degree in food science, microbiology, or related field a plus
Experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related role in meat processing or food manufacturing preferred
Strong working knowledge of HACCP, SPC, GMP, SSOP, and food safety regulations
Strong attention to detail; able to follow strict procedures and guidelines
Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping
Effective communication skills and strong teamwork abilities
Ability to work in cold/refrigerated environments
Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated setting
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; Spanish helpful but not required
