Job Summary and Qualifications The RN coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the behavioral health department, following state regulations and best practice models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients, families, and caregivers while promoting an outstanding patient experience and contributing to overall departmental performance.
What You Will Do
Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, documenting changes in status.
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating and proactively resolving needs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver holistic patient treatment plans that promote recovery.
Serve as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems to coordinate ongoing care for specialized patient groups.
Required Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse (RN) credential.
Registered Nurse diploma.
