Physician Office Registered Nurse, Cardiology, Baptist Mandarin Landing Job Summary We are looking to add a Physician Office Registered Nurse to Baptist Cardiology located at Baptist Mandarin Landing in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full‑time, day‑shift position Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional travel to other locations as needed. The RN will provide nursing assistance to physicians, greet and chaperone patients during the medical portion of visits, obtain vital signs, and maintain medical documentation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team‑oriented, family‑friendly attitude are essential for success in this busy, fast‑paced office.

Responsibilities

Scheduling care, treatment, follow‑up visits, and diagnostic tests per physicians

Handling and processing prescriptions and referrals

Performing waived tests in the laboratory

IV therapy

Managing phone calls from patients and providing appropriate advice and instructions

Educating patients and their families about cardiovascular conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications

Determining urgency of patient's condition

Administering EKGs as ordered by physicians

Providing instructions on medication management, dietary changes, and other therapeutic interventions

Assisting other team members as needed

Providing compassionate patient care and support throughout the visit

Education Required

Associate’s Degree – Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing

Experience

Clinical experience in a patient‑care setting

License and Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

Licensed Registered Nurse – Required
